We designed this program to get communities more involved with crime prevention. There are many citizens that are afraid of being tagged as a “nosey neighbor” or “Snitch” but without realizing that the citizens are the eyes and ears for law enforcement agencies when they are not able to be around. By providing non-emergency numbers or tip line information they can help in the process of “cleaning up” the crime in their communities while having the ability to remain anonymous. With items people use every day it provides the information needed to take a stand against crime and violence. Crime prevention items not only make this information more accessible it lets the community know that there is always someone there to help. If these items can help prevent just one violent act or vicious crime then it is well worth the effort that everyone has put into it. Our goal is to help bridge the communication gap between the citizens and police and fire departments.
